The Liberty Memorial sits in the middle of the Kansas City Skyline and houses The National World War I Museum. It is a great tribute to the soldiers who risked and sacraficed everything for freedom. Completed in 1926 it still stands as an American icon. Most of Kansas City's most famous people were involved in the construction of this memorial and it has been visited by some very well-known dignitaries. It has now been a century since the war started and this is a most fitting memorial.
